After the Earthquake and Airstrikes - Education Is Their Lifeline

As Indigenous communities in Myanmar and Thailand prepare to welcome the traditional New Year Water Festival, many children are doing so after surviving both a devastating earthquake and relentless military attacks. For them, this should be a time of renewal, joy, and cultural celebration—but instead, they face displacement, fear, and extreme hardship.

Why Your Support Matters

CRED fundraiser for earthquake

These children have already endured unimaginable suffering. Their homes, schools, and communities have been destroyed. Yet, despite everything, they continue to dream of a future where they can learn, play, and grow in safety. Through our grassroots network, we provide essential aid, including:

  • Emergency shelter & food for displaced families
  • Safe spaces for children to learn & heal
  • Trauma-informed education & psychosocial support
  • Urgent medical care & basic necessities

Your Donation Makes an Immediate Impact

Unlike large international organizations, our community-led approach ensures that 100% of donations go directly to those in need. We can quickly distribute support to families on the ground, reaching the most vulnerable children when they need it most.

Stand With Them Today

As they enter a new year marked by both resilience and struggle, let's show them they are not alone. Your generosity can bring hope, stability, and a sense of normalcy back into their lives.

CRED is now able to receive tax-deductible donations from Australia, Canada, Hong Kong and the United States (Europe and New Zealand coming very soon). This is possible through partnership with Myriad International. CRED works closely with sister organisations the Karen Teacher Working Group (KTWG) and the Rural Indigenous Sustainable Education (RISE) network.
